I came across this exhibition in New York, another reason to visit. Caribbean: Crossroads of the World. It is currently on view at El Museo del Barrio in Manhattan and the The Queens Museum of Art. It was previously at As a caribbean Artist I find this especially interesting. I know the mix of growing up with a heavy colonial influence, loving and identifying with the British empire but realising that my ancestors we dragged in chains to this island. It’s a tension I recognize. I wish more images from Exhibition were available let us fall in love with the images and by the accompanying book. I might buy it anyway.
